- Your pencil or pen marks "deboss" the aluminum surface – thereby making a permanent record. The print is readable, even if the ink washes off. Tags are made of an annealed aluminum over a heavy cardstock core. Tags are great for tools, periodic inspection records, valves and inventory records.
